Our goal is to bring out your best smile, a healthy and beautiful smile to last a lifetime. A successful outcome will depend on you doing your part. Here is what you can do to ensure a successful outcome:
PRACTICE GOOD ORAL HYGIENE
Good oral hygiene always important, especially during orthodontic treatment. We recommend that you brush and floss after every meal to keep your appliances clean, and your teeth and gums healthy. We will provide an oral hygiene kit and instructions when you begin your orthodontic treatment.
We will give you an estimated treatment time at the beginning of treatment. In order to complete your orthodontic treatment on time, it is important to keep your appointments. Frequent late arrivals and rescheduled appointments will extend your treatment time.
AVOID DAMAGING FOODS
Be sure to carefully follow our recommended eating guidelines. Avoid foods that are hard or sticky because they can bend and break wires. Loose or broken appliances may also extend your treatment time.
VISIT YOUR DENTIST REGULARLY
Although our office will monitor your appliances regularly, it is still very important that you see your family dentist at least twice a year. Even with braces, your dentist will be able to clean your teeth and check for possible cavities. If you do not have a dentist, we will be happy to recommend one in your area.
